this recipe is truly amazing… no need to take the telephone to order a take out oily pizza or even buy one from the shops… to make your own will be healthier and will save you lots of pennies… so far i can only see advantages !
its simple you will need :
Pre heat your oven at 190C gas mark 5
375g (13 oz) plain flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
7g (1/4 oz) dried active baking yeast
2 tablespoons olive oil
225ml (8 fl oz) warm water (45 C)
poppy , sunflower, pumpkin seeds ( optional)
Get your mixing bowl out mix in all your ingredients making sure you are not putting the yeast and salt together. Once you have a dough, bring it together and start to work your dough for 10 minutes, this will help the gluten to build up and make your dough nice and stretchy. This part is very much physical …so go ahead and put all your energy into it… you can always have that little extra guilt free slice after 😉
And this is the part that I absolutely adore … NO RISING TIME… yes you read right… absolutely no rising is needed
With the help of a rolling-pin roll your dough out of the size your like for a deep pan like size but if you like it thinner you can divide it in half and it will yield about 2 large pizza, then put on your base of tomato past and a nice layer of cheese ( can be cheddar, mozzarella, brie… what ever is your fancy) and start putting what ever else you like… peppers, mushrooms, aubergines, ham, bacon, pineapples… list is endless be creative… 🙂
you will need to put you pizza(s) in the oven at 190 C gas mark 5 . Depending on your oven… bake it for 15-20 minutes, a good tip to know if it’s ready the edges would be slightly golden brown.
